O canal de streaming Hulu anunciou quando será o lançamento da série The First, criada por Beau Willimon (House of Cards) e protagonizada por Sean Penn (Sobre Meninos e Lobos). Será o primeiro grande papel do veterano ator na televisão.
A nova atração chega ao serviço no dia 14 de setembro. Com roteiro e direção de Willimon, e produção de Jordan Tappis, o seriado acompanhará a primeira missão do homem em Marte em busca da colonização.
Além de destacar as dificuldades da missão, a história promete focar nas famílias dos astronautas envolvidos nessa busca e também na equipe que ficará na Terra. “É sobre o espírito humano”, disse o criador sobre o seriado.
Penn será o protagonista do seriado ao lado de Natascha McElhone (O Show de Truman).
O Hulu também divulgou as primeiras imagens do novo seriado.
