O The Wrap anunciou nesta quarta-feira (28) que a CW vai desenvolver um reboot da série Good Christian Bitches, exibida anteriormente como GCB na ABC Studios.

Leila Cohan-Miccio será roteirista e produtora executiva na série, que ainda conta com Darren Star e Aaron Kaplan para produzir o programa, que adapta o romance de Kim Gatlin.

Good Christian Bitches gira em torno do clero de uma igreja do Texas, e durou apenas uma temporada com 10 episódios. O cancelamento veio após uma audiência baixa, além de pressão de grupos religiosos – que inclusive fizeram a ABC trocar o título para GCB.

A série original de 2012 trazia um elenco composto pelos nomes de Kristin Chenoweth, Leslie Bibb, Jennifer Aspen, Miriam Shor, Marisol Nichols e Annie Potts.

A nova versão de Good Christian Bitches ainda não tem data de estreia.
