Lançada em 2001, a comédia Legalmente Loira conquistou fãs no mundo inteiro, lançou a carreira de Reese Witherspoon, rendeu continuação em 2003 e um suposto terceiro capítulo que deve chegar em breve (veja mais). Comemorando os 15 anos do primeiro filme, Witherspoon usou o Instagram para agradecer aos fãs.

“Eu tive tantas mulheres me dizendo que fizeram faculdade de direito por causa de Legalmente Loira”, contou Reese em vídeo. “O filme tinha uma história que tinha significado. E era sobre empoderamento feminino! Não era necessariamente sobre a garota ficar com o cara no final”.

Em um dos vídeos, Reese até repete o famoso movimento “bend and snap”, usado por Elle Woods para conquistar os caras ao seu redor. “Todo mundo me pede isso, até hoje. Acho que estarei fazendo o ‘bend and snap’ até os 95 anos”, riu Witherspoon.

It’s been 15 years since the movie “Legally Blonde” introduced the world to Elle Woods, the pink-clad, Chihuahua-toting sorority student who aced the LSATs, got into Harvard Law School and inspired a generation. “I have had so many women say, ‘I went to law school because of ‘Legally Blonde,’” says star Reese Witherspoon (@reesewitherspoon). “It actually had a meaningful story. And it was about female empowerment. It wasn’t necessarily about the girl getting the guy.” To celebrate the anniversary, make sure to show off your pet Chihuahua, law degree or even your best “bend and snap” — “That is still the most asked request I get from people.
